As summer is in full swing, many will be out enjoying activities, sports, get-togethers, or just lounging in the sun (maybe with a drink). Still, when the heat becomes too much, or maybe you want a down day, a movie on your favorite streaming service can be a nice little reprise from the busy summer heat. Thankfully, along with the addition of many new TV series – for steamy reality-TV fans, Too Hot to Handle Season 6 drops, and drama fans will be getting hyped for more Cobra Kai Netflix is offering a new batch of original movies.

While the most attention will come early with a beloved franchise and a long-awaited sequel releasing, the month is full of treats. In keeping with the theme of summer, this month includes two extreme sports documentaries and a raucous comedy from Germany about a family game night gone wrong. Anime fans should also rejoice, with a new movie from Studio Ponoc coming exclusively to Netflix. Here are all the original movies coming to Netflix for the month of July 2024.

Together, the four uncover a conspiracy deep within the Beverly Hills Police Force connected to the threats being made towards Jane.

It has been 40 years since the original Beverly Hills Cop became a huge critical and financial sensation and 30 years since the last entry in the series, Beverly Hills Cop III. The wait has certainly been a long one, with the fourth entry originally planned to be released in 2016. Will Beverly Hills Cop 4: Axel Foley be worth the wait? We certainly hope so! The 23 Best Netflix Original Series, Ranked

With originals making up more than 40% of their streaming library, it's only natural there are so many great original Netflix TV series.

Parents of younger children may find the premise of The Imaginary familiar as it is based on the novel of the same name by British author A.F. Harrold and illustrator Emily Gravett. Consequently, the anime feature film combines the beautiful visuals of Japanese anime with classic storytelling about the power of imagination and childhood loss. Studio Ponoc may still be a younger studio, founded in 2015 by Yoshiaki Nishimura (former producer at Studio Ghibli). Still, they are already building an impressive repertoire, having released Mary and the Witch's Flower and Modest Heroes, which leans toward the same creative approach to storytelling and characters outlined by Studio Ghibli. The Imaginary is streaming on Netflix on July 5.

Obsessed with the world of Van Gogh, Goyo, a young autistic museum devotee, lives his life on a strict schedule based on his work as a guide for the Museo Nacional de Bellas Artes in Buenos Aires. This is disrupted when he develops a crush on a co-worker and recent divorcee, Eva. The two begin a relationship that drastically changes both of their lives. Eva finds an unlikely chance at romance, and Goyo embraces his artistic talent, inspired by his new muse. The Argentinian rom-com, Goyo, looks to be a heartwarming tale of romance with two eccentric individuals at the forefront. Goyo is streaming on Netflix on July 5.

Billed as a raucous comedy, the German feature by Marco Petry centers around one night of chaos. Blame the Game follows Pia and her new boyfriend, Jan, as they head into family game night with the pressure of having Jan impress her competitive family. However, when Pia's ex shows up, the stakes of game night are raised, and the family begins to clash with Pia and her new boyfriend. Not much is known about this Netflix Original yet, but with the trailer provided by Netflix, it looks to be a pretty chaotic comedy that will certainly have some people wanting to check it out. Blame the Game is streaming on Netflix on July 12.

Find Me Falling

Streaming on July 19

Aging rock star John Allman, played by Harry Connick Jr., sees his career on the decline as a planned comeback album falls short. He takes a step back and connects with his creative roots in the countryside. However, with his popularity, he soon finds the peaceful respite he hoped for interrupted by others seeking his attention, dampening his chance of spending quiet time outside the industry. It seems the musician can't catch a break, but John finds unexpected inspiration when he reconnects with an old flame.

Regardless of how one feels about Netflix's continued dedication to romance, Find Me Falling continues the trend of recent titles like Mother of the Bride and Irish Wish climbing to the top of the charts. For fans of the genre, this one has plenty to be excited about. As highlighted in a statement from director Stelana Kliris, "This is a love story about many kinds of love: romantic, family, lifelong dreams, and what you're willing to sacrifice for the people or the things you love" (via CBN) Those looking for a bit of summer love, with a handsome lead in Harry Connick Jr. will certainly want to check out Find Me Falling. Find Me Falling is streaming on Netflix on July 19.
