Spoiler alert: This is a post about Thanksgiving recipes (Americans, avert your eyes!)

Okay, Americans, you don’t really have to avert your eyes. It’s just that I know all of you in the US aren’t even thinking about Thanksgiving right now (there’s Halloween coming in between, after all), but up here in Great Frozen Canuck Land, we celebrate our thanks for the harvest (plus our gratitude for all things Canadian, like Tim Horton’s, poutine, Ryan Gosling, cloudberries, politeness, the NHL and HBO Canada) in the middle of October. Are we calendar-challenged? Are we simply trying to get ahead of our American cousins in at least one area, finally? Are we just hungrier? Who knows!

If you’re anything like me when it comes to cooking for the holidays, you wait until the last day guest has arrived possible second to plan your meal. Well, this gal is trying a new approach for 2013!

With Thanksgiving only a week away, I determined to get myself organized in advance of the holiday and went looking for a bunch of Thanksgiving recipes from which to choose. Today, I’m sharing the list with you all (Americans, you are more than welcome to come back here prior to November 28th).

And true, just because this list exists doesn’t actually mean I’ll get that menu planned on time. . . but at least it’s a start.

Wishing you all a very Happy and Healthy Thanksgiving this year!

Please note: all recipes are vegan, free of refined sugars and gluten-free, unless otherwise noted.
